Before you get started:

Important: Please prepare everything you need for the setup. You will find all the essentials in the following section. 
Tip: Start the setup process on your device and keep an eye on the instructions at the same time – preferably with a second device.

S‑pushTAN‑App

Download the latest version of the app for free – from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Registration letter for pushTAN

To set up the S‑pushTAN‑App, you need a pushTAN registration letter. You will receive this separately from the letter containing your access data. If you have not received this letter, please contact your Sparkasse.

Access data

You can use the S‑pushTAN‑App to approve orders in online banking. That is why you need the access data for your Sparkasse online banking when setting up the S‑pushTAN‑App. These are:

Login name or identity verification ID
Online banking PIN
For new contracts: Letter containing access data. You will receive this from your Sparkasse.

You will also need:

When setting up the app again:

Sparkassen-Card (Debitkarte) – card number

You will be asked to enter your card number when setting up the app again. You should therefore have your Sparkassen-Card (debit card) ready. The number is located on the back.

To set up the S‑pushTAN‑App again without online banking:

Activation password and credit card number

If you only use the S‑pushTAN‑App to approve online card payments, please have your activation password and 16-digit card number at the ready. The number is located on the front of your card. The activation password can be found in the additional letter you received along with the registration letter for the S‑pushTAN‑App.

New smartphone or tablet

Keep using the S-pushTAN-App – even on your iPhone/iPad or Android device. Learn how to set up the S-pushTAN-App on a new device.

Private and professional use of the S‑pushTAN‑App

As a corporate customer, you can use pushTAN for both private and business purposes – on one or more devices. The S‑pushTAN‑App allows you to specify which devices you use for work.

Here’s how to do it:

Open the ‘Connections’ menu in the S-pushTAN-App.
Tap on your Sparkasse
Select the desired device.
Activate ‘Business use’ in the detailed overview.
Your business approvals will now be sent to this device.

You will still receive private approvals on devices where ‘Business use’ is not enabled.

‘Business’ distribution group: You’ll now see the ‘Business’ distribution group in the connection details. You can add or remove devices used for business purposes from that section. If you delete the group, approvals will be distributed to all devices again.
